TERSANE ISLAND & BAY

A well sheltered natural harbor on the north west shore of Tersane island, which is said to have been named after the shipyard here in Byzantine times. The ruins of several houses can be seen on the shore. The land here forms a bowl shaped depression and the vegetation consisting of some palms and olives.

Delicious drinking water can be obtained from the tap in the north east inlet. A walk up the hills in late afternoon to watch the sunset makes a perfect end to the day.
